“Girls compete, Women empower”

For one, I find this quote quite confusing and honestly — misleading too, and just so we’re all on the same page, when we say “Girls compete”, we’re referring to businesses, skills, achievements, feats e.t.c, right?

If so, why are we telling women not to engage in healthy competitions that will push them to become even better?

People say “men are naturally competitive” and from the look of things, it isn’t considered a problem because it is often celebrated.

So why is it suddenly a problem if and when women compete?

The worse part is that quotes like this make it even more ridiculous before it is reduced to being “immature”. I mean that’s the only reason why “Girls” is being used in this context.

Just so we’re clear, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with competitions. They keep you on your toes and it is very healthy.

This quote, however, has a lot of things wrong with it.

Whoever came up with it might have meant well, but considering the world we live in, I guess better clarity is quite needed on this one, especially because it goes on to say “Women empower” and not “Women collaborate”.

Sounds like a mental game of forcing people to take on causes they have no business with, all in the name of “empowerment”.

Whatever it is, it should be considered a big fat joke.

That being said, I think we can all agree that the “women empowerments” are doing numbers and we’re not complaining.

However, something that isn’t adding up is the number of people bringing out their cheque books. Provide women with more funding and not just “empowerments”.

It’s about time we start putting our money where our mouth is, don’t you think?

Because if we’re keeping it a buck, these faux woke quotes are becoming more annoying than inspiring.

And that’s on that.

Have different thoughts on this?
